Marine Chartplotter
What’s the best possible brand of marine chartplotter I can get for my boat?
I previously had a Garmin GPSMAP 4212, but it is inoperable at the moment due to electrical failure (I think something shorted out). Now I need to get a new one to replace it, and I’ve had my eye on the Raymarine E120 for awhile, but the question is, is it better than my GPSMAP? Or is there another brand that is even better?
The raymarine e120 is over priced and falls shorts in some aspects. Between the two I go with the Garmin gpsmap 4212. The Garmin is very simple to program and operate, also has the best chart accuracy in the industry. But my favorite is the furuno navnet 3d mfd 12 with better capabilities. Depending on the size of your vessel, the furuno could be overkill. But well worth it.
