Question Geocaching – GPS?
What is good for GPS 14 year old? I had the Garmin eTrex Venture HC, but I went through three of them because something was wrong with that. I get a new GPS, but not too expensive. Maybe less than $ 300. Suggestions?
I know there were some problems with your business, but me and some friends have had great luck with the eTrex family. They are perfect for outdoor use handheld and they are all under $ 300. One of the really nice things is the small size and ability to work with only the hand holding it. This lets you have your other hand free for other uses. http://www.tvnav.com/etrexfamily.htm (If I have mine) is sold at the top of the family Vista HCx $ 235 and $ 195 HCx risk I recommend buying one that is slightly above the minimum. The HCX models may contain a large number of maps memory card and can be very useful for navigating the streets and outdoor use. If only to use for geocaching, you can go with a model cheaper, but wants at least in version H. However, to stay away from the H Etrex it still uses a serial port (less common in new equipment for loading / unloading.
